Koniggratz Cross 1866
"Combatant"

The Königgratz Cross is named for one of Prussia’s key battles in its 1866 war with Austria. The war was a success for Prussia and led to the consolidation of Germany under Prussia’s control. Made from the bronze of captured Austrian cannon three versions were authorized, the “Königgrätz” version was given to combatant troops who participated in the battle of Königgrätz (Sadowa) on 3 July 1866.

Founded on September 20th 1866 by King Wilhelm I of Prussia this decoration is the "combatant" version, has been repaired, at some point in its history, where the ribbon loop attaches to the medal, it shows some age but overall is in nice shape and comes with a new replacement ribbon.

Cross of Honor 1914-18
"Hindenburg Cross"

"Combatant"

Established on July 13, 1934, by President Paul von Hindenburg. The Cross, which commemorated those who served and those killed during the Great War, was introduced to reinforce pride in the veterans, and current armed forces. The only military commemorative award to be introduced during the Third Reich era. Three grades were authorized: Combatant, Non-Combatant and Next of Kin. This particular award is in solid shape with some light surface rust, comes with a replacement ribbon and has the makers mark "HKM" on the reverse.
